Two writers and a band
The Show and Tell Gallery in Portland is running an every-Monday reading+music series. I've been invited to read on Monday August 10th, 7-8PM. I pick a co-reader and a musician/s. My good friend and fabulous writer Megan Kruse will read with me - we'll both be presenting new material. I'm hoping to convince Kate Mann, a fabulous guitarist, to join us. Kate has been travelling with her band, The Calamities, so you might be able to hear her live at some point. Find her on MySpace and youtube, and if you're in Portland, OR, come see the show. I've read and Kate's played three times in the last year.
I'm glad this is coming up. I've been in reading withdrawals. You know what those are like - you start to read your work aloud to people on line at the supermarket or next to you in the movie theater during the movie, or to the diners at the next table during dinner at the restaurant. It's a serious disorder. My thanks to Show and Tell Gallery and 3 Friends Coffee House for saving me.
