I think you might like the new episode of My Pal Splendid Man (uploaded here). This is that series of satirical stories I'm cowriting with Will Jacobs about a would-be novelist who befriends the most powerful superhero in the universe. In this one, "Literary Lad," Splendid Man flies our protagonist 1,000 years into the future to show him that his dreams of literary immortality will indeed come true. Except...well...things never quite work out the way we plan, dream-wise and immortality-wise. It's a pretty silly story, as usual for this book, but I think some of our riffs on literary pretensions might resonate some with my Red Room pals. Let me know what you think!
