“Wait til you see him” Trina said,
“Jeff is absolutely gorgeous!”
Hearing some lewd comments,
Beth left the table with a blush.
Walking through the bar,
Jeff shouted over the din.
“Phil, have you ever seen a table
With so many beautiful women?”
Jeff knew every gal sitting there
Except one, then his heart sank.
What would it do to his image to be
Seen in the company of a skank?
He was about to sit down,
After he pulled out a chair.
Hearing his name he turned,
And all he could do was stare.
Upon the face of a goddess
His deep blue eyes fell.
“Jeff Madison, I’d like you to meet
My new friend, Beth Campbell.”
With jade green eyes and auburn hair,
Beth was very captivating indeed.
That Jeff had been very wrong
Was a fact he would concede
Beth gazed at his handsome face
,As his eyes pierced her to her soul.
He reached for and kissed her hand,
Then Jeff was hit with a thunderbolt.
(my novel is NOT written in poetic form. I took a few paragraphs and rhymed them for kicks and giggles.)
