Crow in the Middle of Nowhere.

Black motorcycle soaring at speed

valves clucking, gorbling snarkle

of exhaust, black riding jacket

flutter at shoulders, ruffling outstretched

arms. Dipping into a steep turn

over a crest bird’s-eye

view—played-out pasture,

cliffs, glinting sea. Dead crow

on the white line, gusting wind

raises a wing

as I fly by.
