Have you ever had a conversation with someone you've never met before and then just as it seems you are about to take leave of this person, they suddenly pop up and blurt out the words, "Can I have your phone number?" Or "Give me your phone number!" Sometimes it even sounds polite, "Please can I have your phone number? I bet most of you have been in this boat more than once in your lifetime. I can also swear that most of you have seen both sides of the coin here- you have asked for someone's telephone number and someone must have definitely asked for your number, too.
The question is is how did this make you feel? I would not be lying if I say that when the person asking for your telephone number is of the opposite sex and has good looks and charms it always warms our hearts to either give it to them or withhold it. It makes us happy to give out our number to a handsome or pretty person because this gives us the feeling of being appreciated and wanted by what we consider as "goodlooking" people. It can still make us feel proud to refuse their request because it adds an exta brick-line to the wall of ego that has been growing within us since we realized that we are entered into the social millieu where social status is defined by the size of our egos.
The bottom line is, people love to be appreciated. They love to be loved and since we are all social animals we crave human company and attention to the point where we would do just anything to get it. Why not start with learning the appropriate way to obtain a phone number from a boy or girl you've jus met, guaranteed not to fail?
Since this technique consists of just one line, I would like to say that the nature of your coversation with the person whose number you want will determine wether they will grant your request for a number or not. What I am saying is that when you engage in first time talk with anybody be careful to make sure that you leave them wanting to talk to you again next time.A good conversation is like a good story- the writer always leaves the readers wanting for more. They just can't wait to read the next chapter or the next edition of the book. So, be sure that your first meeting with anyone whom you wish to see again must bring out the "wow! You are one hell of a person!" reaction from the individual before you use the technique which I am going to tell you below:
Simply look the person in the eye( direct eye contact) and say (don't shout and don't whisper), "Wow! I really enjoy talking to you! How and when can we do this again?"
Believe me, he or she will smile like stars before answering, "I could give you my phone number and you can call me when you are free!"
I have done this lots of times and it never failed!
Good luck and don't forget to go to www.yungsibooks.com and let me know how it worked out.
