Take a literary tour via Seattle theaters: Dickens, Steinbeck, and Dostoevsky
Issue/Publication: Examiner.com
Web Links
Three of the Seattle's theaters are currently running adaptions of great books or literary classics: Tale of Two Cities (SCT), Of Mice and Men (SPT), and Crime and Punishment (Intiman).
Of course, this make it very easy to pull everything together under one umbrella title for a new Examiner.com article. And, since I'm now my own visuals editor and on the web, I can even spice up the prose with video as well as photos. You can read the whole article at the web link listed above.
The funkiest part of writing this particular article was convincing the spell checker that I did want to spell theater both with an "er" and a "re." Because, of course, two of the groups discussed go with one spelling and the other goes its own way with the other spelling. Do boards and artistic directors ever consider the poor writers reporting on their organizations when creating their proper names? If you're thinking about such things, please, please consider how many ways your name can be misspelled in print and keep it simple!
