Who's to tell (Israel/Palestine poem)

Hey folk, I'm teaching english in Nablus and for those who do not know that city I will tell you where it is, it is in the West-Bank of Palestine. I bet there are some people in here that support Israel's breaking of human rights and international law and they will probably not like this poem. At this time I will not write about my opinions on this matter but show you the good people in the red room a simple poem that I wrote about Palestine. I am not a poet and will never be but this is what came out when I decided to blog for you good people. Hopefully more then a handful of people will read this, because like all writers I want my words to be read.

Poems or not my field of expertise nor english since my home country is Iceland, this poems is most likely not correctly built but who cares? It's just a lonely boys feelings put down a paper (in this case computer screen) that show a little part of his mind. Well, here's my debut blog in the red room enjoy!

Who's to tell

In the weirdest of places

who's to tell the tale?

Their tear swollen faces

that look just too pale.

God has chosen a nation

swinging their mighty sword.

Ruling their occupation

who's to tell the lord?

Who's to tell the story

of war that's grows so fast.

That gives hearts the glory

to beat as one at last

My hope shall always live

and never will I pause.

So gladly I would give

my life to such a cause

Their eyes are blind

and never will unfold.

Action far from kind

forever remains untold.

Thanks for sharing your feelings in a poem. It's very effective as a way of telling the untold story.
