Biography Since a child growing up in Brooklyn, I have been a 'practical mystic.' This has led me to work as a midwife in India; a builder of strawbale houses; a classical musician and more recently, an improvisational singer for healing. For the last 50 years I have lived, with my scientist-husband, in the Bay Area where we raised our 3 children and now that they are grown, continue our ongoing conversation about science and spirit. It never gets boring. Perhaps the reason I write books about it is to find those people out there with whom I can have the same conversation, but who agree with me more than he does!
