Chantel M Acevedo

Biography Chantel Acevedo is a writer whose work has appeared in journals such as The Chattahoochee Review, Prairie Schooner, and The Cimarron Review, among others.  Her novel, Love and Ghost Letters (St. Martin's Press, 2005) won the Latino International Book Award for Best Historical Novel and was a finalist for the Connecticut Book of the Year.  Acevedo is the recipient of two Fulbright awards--Japan and New Zealand--in the field of secondary education.  She will begin serving as an Assistant Professor in Creative Writing at Auburn University in 2008.
