Biography

I've been a professional author for almost a quarter of a century. In that time, I've produced two novels and numerous collections of stories, volumes of verse and prose poems. My fiction has been featured in over 100 magazines and anthologies around the world and I've also written for radio and the stage.

My book Righteous Blood (PS Publishing; 2003) was composed of two novellas, both of which have been optioned for adaptation into films. "Kept" is currently in pre-production at Twisted Pictures (producers of the popular "Saw" and "Hostel" movies).

In March, 2008, I published my novel, an occult thriller titled So Dark the Night, through my blog.  August, 2008 saw the release of another short novel, Of the Night.  Both are available for free reading and download. Other full-length efforts will be posted in the coming months.

As an independent artist I make great efforts to present professional, well-wrought work and to resist market considerations and creative and aesthetic compromises. Maintaining control over my writing and the direction of my career are major reasons why I have chosen the "indie" course.

I'm a full-time writer, currently engrossed in a couple of projects I am not at liberty to discuss.  Yet...

I live in western Canada with my wife Sherron and two sons, Liam and Sam.
