Gail Silver, is the founder of Philadelphia's Yoga Child, where she teaches yoga and mindfulness classes for adults and children as well as birth preparation programs for expectant parents.
The wise and gentle mindfulness teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh serves as a tremendous inspiration for for the development of the themes of my stories. However, it is the quiet and contemplative observation of my three young children mixed with reflections of my own childhood that provide the subject matter for my stories. I find that I am continually influenced and excited by the idea of recognizing the emotional and moral dilemmas that children face and am then challenged to find a way to create a humorous story to move them through their dilemma while teaching the reader a lesson in mindfulness. With this as my intention, almost everyone and everything around me serves as influence and inspiration.
