Kellyann F Zuzulo Supernatural Thriller Writer ... Journalist ... Purveyor of the Paranormal

Kellyann F Zuzulo

Biography

Trained as a journalist, K. F. Zuzulo draws from the residue of a former post as managing editor for the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia to create A Genie in the House of Saud.  After leaving the editorial harem of a company in the hallowed halls of the National Press Building, K. F. Zuzulo moved on to public relations. As a media relations representative for Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, she joined the bulwark of public information officers to disseminate Hippocratic hints and secrets for extending and improving life. Strife also was prevalent; K.F. served on-call duty during the siege of South Philadelphia, which led to the annihilation of La Cosa Nostra in that region. This was a period when victims of gunshot wounds in less than stable conditions, and the resulting media hordes, inundated the hospital.

Death shifts reality, and one must shift with it to maintain sanity. The loss of a beloved sister spurred K.F. to once again wield her curriculum vitae. She sought solace in the love of the printed word and began to write fiction again - as she had impulsively done since a barely literate lass. Yearning for books of any cover, she took a position as a Book Development manager for a veterinary publisher, where she assigned and acquired tomes that explained our four-legged alliances, and even edited an entire text on dermatological diseases of companion animals.  Now there's a dog of a job.

As a Buddhist Proverb explains: "If we are facing in the right direction, all we have to do is keep on walking." K. F. walked on to freelance non-fiction writing, a position as Communications Director of the Center for Health Care Strategies, and a dream job as spousal partner to one large Zuzulo and Mom to three tiny Zuzulos.

An heiress to the McDonnells of West Philadelphia, K.F.'s inheritance included three wishes, already squandered, and an untapped fortune in the legacy wordsmithing of her Celtic roots. Her maternal bloodline flows fresh from the West of Ireland and the Kelly clan, from which her sainted mother, God rest her soul, emigrated at the age of 16 to domestic service in the New World. Fulfilling the arc of the Irish-American diaspora, K.F.‘s noble father was a law enforcement officer and did, at one time, carry a nightstick.

The trappings of early childhood were fraught with the drama and suspense - particularly at daybreak - of being raised with five siblings in a one-bathroom house. Following an elementary education in the teachings of the Church of the Holy Roman Empire, K.F. embarked on a quest for diversity. In the Latin-suffused halls of the Philadelphia High School for Girls, the motto "vincit qui se vincit" - She conquers all who conquers herself - provided the armor for skirmishes of intellect against spirit, which continue to this day.

The shameless pursuit of writing for money all started with a degree from Temple University's School of Communications.  By waving around that piece of paper, K. F.  secured a posting as an assistant editor for journals devoted solely and absolutely to the printing trades, followed by assistant editor, writer, and photographer to Yankee Magazine.  And then it was D.C. and Saudi Arabia.

Throughout each step, the fiction flowed, but not for public consumption ... until now. A Genie in the House of Saud: Zubis Rises is the first book of a supernatural thriller trilogy and follows on the heels of a collection of short stories also aligned to the world of the unseen, Elementals: Tales of Fairies in a Modern World. Each of these stories will be shared with those who read them.
