Lisa Solod Warren

Biography

I was born in east Tennessee in the fifties and I knew I wanted to be a writer from the time I was 8 years old. I published my first newspaper piece at 17 and went on to publish part of my thesis while at Brown. I worked as a magazine editor and writer for more than half a dozen years, and as a freelance writer and editor. I have also written public relations and advertising copy and done bunches of other "related" things. With the birth of my first child, my son, I began writing fiction full time in earnest and had my first fellowship a the Virginia Center for the Cr eative Arts eighteen months later; my first publication came a few months after that.

I have a recent book out from Seal Press entitled Desire: Women Write About Wanting. My work has been published in numerous other anthologies and literary magazine as well as magazines and newspapers.

For my complete literary resume, see my website at www.lisasolodwarren.com.

I live in Virginia with my husband and my teenaged daughter. Hoping soon for that beach house.
