Who can say who influences us as we develop as a writer? I'd have to credit Jane Austen, Mark Twain, Ayn Rand, Louis L'Amour, Leon Uris...well, the influences are too many to name. All of them had a huge impact on my writing.

Well, of course, Pride & Prejudice is way up there at the top. Hmmm. Exodus, the early Mitchner's novels, The Fountainhead, Ken Follet's early novels, Hidden Riches, Lady Elizabeth's Comet, An Assembly Such as This (and its sequels), Breakfast with Buddha, The Good Earth, Pavilion of Women, Miss Philadelphia Smith, The Poisonwood Bible... The list is endless.
