I started writing by accident. I adopted a human aggressive dog (Shadow) and for some divine reason, kept a journal about him. A friend of mine suggested writing some articles about my work with him and the rest is history!
Because I write non-fiction (dogs), I would have to say that the dogs themselves, as well as the top half of the leash have been my biggest influences. Ted Turner (not Jane Fondas ex) and Patty Ruzzo have been my personal "mentors."
