Robby Charters

Biography

I live with my family, sometimes in Thailand where I was born and my wife is from, sometimes in Ireland where my dad is from. In Thailand, I teach English at a bi-lingual school. In Ireland, I work with software. In both places, I write. At this moment, we're in Thailand. My son, Avraham attends the same school where I teach. My first book, Pepe, has just been published, and I have more books on the way. I also draw cartoons, tweak my website, blog, play the fiddle and help Avraham with his homework.

Upcoming Works

  • The Adventures of Eetoo: Space Science Fiction: Eetoo is a member of a primitive tribe that was uprooted to another planet in the galaxy by an early human interstellar empire. His mission is to find the golden tablets that will complete his tribes understanding of how things are, and answer his gnawing questions as to the enigma of humanity. They are hidden somewhere on Earth, his ancesteral home.

The Story of St. Catrick: an animal story, a bit like Wind in the Willows, but with a socio-political slant. A cat, Catrick, tries to bring reconciliation to the species, particularly the cats, who rule in Catropolis, and the rodents, who are presently in revolt against cat rule.

The Zondon: Ernie has been plagued by strange dreams which make his twin brother think he's a bit off in the head. On an archeological dig, he finds a crystal, which was the source of his dreams. He and six others were on an interstellar mission which was endangered, so their souls were spirited away and reborn as humans. Now that he's been awakened, he must find the other six and awaken them.

  • Human Development Foundation of Fr. Joe Maier. He was the inspiration for the character of Fr. Antonio in Pepe, and his shelter for homeless children, Mercy Centre in Bangkok, was the inspiration for Mercy House in Pepe. I've promised half of the royalties from Pepe to his cause.
