Biography

I am a librarian and enjoy writing about art and travel.  I also like learning languages.   I currently review books for Voice of Youth Advocates (VOYA) magazine.  In the past, I worked as a restaurant reviewer for two years and have had my art criticism published in Art & Antiques magazine.

I have written five books:

*The Edible Tao: Munching my Way Toward Englightenment

*Eating Soup with Chopsticks: Sweet Sixteen in Japan

*Edible Alchemy: Making Life Magic

*More Leisure than Money: Tales of a Military Wife in Virginia

*China Hand: From the Great Wall to Olive Ball & Beyond

Belle Yang and Paul Fleischman are two of my favorite writers, who just happen to live in Monterey County (California) where I work as a librarian!
