Biography SUNNY SINGH was born in Varanasi, India, and grew up in various parts of the world. Her first novel – Nani's Book of Suicides – was first published by Harper Collins India Pvt Ltd in 2000 and described as a "first novel of rare scope and power." The Spanish translation of the novel won the Mar de Letras prize in Spain. Her second book, a work of nonfiction titled Single in the City: The Independent Woman's Handbook (2001), was a path-breaking exploration of single women in contemporary India and described as "witty and insightful." Her most recent novel, With Krishna's Eyes (2006), has been commended for its "profound insight" and described as "memorable." Sunny has also published essays and short stories in anthologies, journals and magazines in various countries, including US, India and Spain.
