Weston Ochse Dark Fiction Author and Superhero for Rent

Weston Ochse

Biography

Strangest encounter with a fan? "Not including the Tennessee Sewing Circle, the Oh-My-God Girl or the Mormon Hindi Hooker, I think my strangest encounter would have to be George Ibarra, who brought a letter from my mom to a booksigning...(Excerpted from my FearZone Interview) "

I've been writing now for a dozen years.  I am the author of Scarecrow Gods, Recalled to Life, The Golden Thread, Vampire Outlaw of the Milky Way, Redemption Roadshow, and a slew of short stories and articles that have appeared in comic books, professional writing guides, magazines and anthologies.  I won the Bram Stoker award for Superior Achievement in First Novel in 2005 and was nominated for the Pushcart Prize for Fiction in 2003.  I was born in Wyoming,  raised in Eastern Tennessee, and now live in Southern Arizona with my wife, Yvonne Navarro, and Great Danes, Pester Ghost Palm Eater and Goblin Monster Dog.  For entertainment I race tarantula wasps, wrestle rattlesnakes,  watch Border Patrol Death Race 2000 and hunt bigfoot. (Ochse is pronounced 'oaks,' or as Harlan Ellison once said, "Weston Ochse, sounds like a nursing home or a trailer park."  Thanks Harlan.)
