GENIE NOVEL WINS BEST IN "RELIGIOUS FICTION"
Jun 09, 2008 – A Genie in the House of Saud: Zubis Rises by K. F. Zuzulo has been selected as the winner in the Religious Fiction category by the 2008 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. The novel, which is the first book of a trilogy, also was recognized as a finalist in the E-book Fiction category.
The novel, about a dangerous djinni, an American, and the links that bind them both to three major world religions and an ancient mystery, was published this year by Mystical Publishing, an independent publisher of supernatural fiction. The paperback version of the novel will be available through Amazon.com in July 2008 and at select bookstores.
A Genie in the House of Saud: Zubis Rises tracks Zubis, a djinni of primeval necromancy, and Bethany O'Brien, an editor in Washington, DC. Bound together by an ancient betrayal, each must confront the strength of their beliefs. The Middle East becomes the center of a confrontation that will strip truth from desire and establish a marauding empire.
The electronic version of A Genie in the House of Saud has been attracting an international readership. The e-book is available at www.zubisrises.com, Amazon.com, and from Mobipocket. Zubis Returns will be released early 2009.
