- I have decided to take a break and not think about writing for a day. I have exciting news...I will be discussing possible publication with an agent tomorrow at exactly 2:30 pm! Wish me luck! Thanks to all of you who have supported me! -Apryl

- I just completed my first novel as a participant, and now I know what it feels like to be a winner, of Nanowrimo 2008. I'm so excited! I tried last year, but I succeeded this year!

- During the first week of November, I felt like the month of writing was going to be smooth sailing. 50,000 words in 30 days seemed like a simple concept and I managed nearly 2,700 each day for 7 days straight. No problem! NaNoWriMo was going to be a breeze.I had a couple of days where I just couldn't stay up to write because I had exhausted myself during the day and that dropped my average ...

- Woo Hoo! I am thrilled my 1st Red Room blog is one of gushing fun, thanks to NaNoWriMo. I endured the grueling month of November through writer's block, writer's cramp, and write-ins with my dear friend and confidant, Ruby, the red laptop. The 'special offer' page at NaNo led me right to the Red Room. I consider discovering the Red Room to be my own personal NaNo award, with or without a free ...

- I did not start my day with the thought that I would wind up in a long sprint to the finish, nor did I even dream of a 2000+ victory lap. As I prepare to make it an early, tired night, however, I can reflect proudly on having accomplished just that. My first taste of satisfaction came at about 0630 when I filled the last page of the second paper notebook. I'm writing this one in longhand for ...

- This was my first year participating in NaNoWriMo and my first time attempting to write a novel. I finished the 50k by the 16th of November and completed the novel on the 22nd. This program really helped to motivate me and got me writing again after almost a decade of laziness. It also helped to inspire me to get back into many other things that I had neglected in my life. Thanks ...

- I have two days left to write just under 10,000 words. I have had a couple of 7,000 word days during the past month, so I still think I should be able to make it to my goal of 50,000 words. Unfortunately, I am no where near the finish line as far as my story arc goes. I haven't even begun writing the climax yet. My husband is out hunting today, so I have the house to myself. My golden ...

- I thought I would be furiously pounding the keyboard this weekend. I thought tonight might be an all-nighter. I was looking forward to it. But...I'm done. I completed the story and it met the word count. I drank the champagne. I don't want to edit it until I've had some distance from it. I've caught up on my schoolwork. I've done the housecleaning. I've washed the smelly dog. And now I feel like ...

- This is my second year entering NaNoWriMo. Last year I got a few thousand words written. I just checked and the date on the last file I wrote was Nov 2. Guess I did not make it too far. This year I just started writing. For some reason, for the most part, the writing came easily. I tried to write every day but there were a few days when I was just not up to it. I made it to 50,000 words today ...

- I WON! I WON! That's right, I FINISHED my novel! That's right, and my final word count was 52,493 words. I finished it up tonight and you know how I feel?Drained and Elated.I feel utterly and completely spent but also elated. I have finished a novel. This is a very big first for me. I have finished a novel but not only that, it's one I like! One that I want to send out into the ...
