Yesterday my mother sold two of my books!

In Publisher's Marketplace today, there was a blurb about Penguin UK meeting with British booksellers to broach the issue of a no-return policy on the publisher's backlist.

I read with interest the recent Wall Street Journal

Marketing a book in an increasingly visually driven society is a tough role. Not to mention the ever decreasing number of people who actually read (books that is, not this stupid blog).

If you're just starting to market your book, you'll have to get creative to be successful. Last week was full but fascinating for me, as I explored yet another avenue for book marketing.
