Well, all of my writer friends are at (or on their way) to the Conestoga conference in Oklahoma which is starting tomorrow and I'm stuck in the desert heat of Arizona.

The dog who keeps track of the plot.

When my cats Electra and Baby died seven months ago, people asked me when I was going to get a new cat. At first, the question irritated me.

All of my rescue dogs have stories and this is Emma's. I love telling it and so does Emma. Cody, my sheltie, the love of my life, died in June 2005.

Yes I am a positive trainer and yes, I know, punishment does suppress behavior. However, that behavior may come back quickly or it may come back as something different.

In my first blog entry I mentioned lessons learned and how one can relate them to dogs.
