Hello Gentle Readers-

The sun is shining outside. I can hear the birds singing lovely birdsongs outside. Suddenly it hits me: The Red Room contest is over!

I tend to gobble. I read fast, I eat fast, I generally try to squeeze three concurrent lifetimes into this one. But you can't gobble poetry without getting riched out before you are full.

Woven into the Red Room King Lear conversation, James Whyle wrote that Lear's "thank you" is the most important line in the play.

One of the things I used to daydream about, during my years of writing novels with no sales was how I would thank my husband, Topher, in my dedication when I finally sold a book.
