A Mink-warm Distance between Decades

winter is a mink-warm distance
between decades...
quantum snowflakes
of space and time zones...
...flutter on a breeze... of random thoughts...
there is your candle-lit laughter
stitching the gashes in my heart...
and your brandy-colored eyes
balancing the axis
of planets whirling through my soul...
as ice storms scream death
at the rest of the world,
to me they whisper lovingly
seasons of songs of you and I
burning our way toward spring...

Nordette Adams says:
Old love returns
When it's a good match, it's wonderful to see an old love return even after a decade of absence. I know I'm reading this poem literally. However, it's still good to see you writing a love poem again. Your muse seems to have a lighter hand. I hope it will inspire more along these lines.

I'm completely open to
I'm completely open to readers' interpretation of my poetry :-) This particular piece was actually inspired by Red Room's suggested blog topic: Winter.
