Sacred Sexual Science
It is generally agreed that God is love. For the atheist I could reword it and say ‘Love is divine’. OK that said let me define my terms: For the common man God is something inconceivable in which to believe, but for the mystic God is the highest and inmost ideal. Love as defined by the dictionary is an intense feeling of attachment and affection. This leaves me flat, I prefer love as defined by P. Bourget in his Physiologie de l’ Amour Moderne: “There exists in us a mental and physical state during which everything is annulled”. I think we could say that Love is the loss of the consciousness of self.
I believe you can see to be ‘One with God’ is to be God. Existentially we are living the ideal. Our separation from God is the opportunity for the quest, the noble journey, the Magnum Opus. In Alchemy we take the dull heavy lead and remove the dross to achieve the Gold – in writing we simply edit.
What is separating us from our ideals is the muck of division - the consciousness of Good and Evil. We become ever more stuck in the ‘tar baby’ of our petty affairs and lose sight of our true existence; life becomes a living hell. Every minute is spent judging, choosing, and working by the sweat of our brow to establish a sense of security and possession. However old age, sickness, and death pursue, and usurp our every victory. We turn to doctors, lawyers, and priest to save us from our fate but alas only find our confusion compounded.
If only we could silence our howling mind and let the spirit shine. But how?
Prayer and Meditation!
In Meditation we still the body, quiet the emotions and reduce thinking.
In Prayer we enflame our being with perfume, with candles, images and symbols such as alters, crosses, stars, banners; these exalt our will, desire and belief into one divine concept.
Now the sexual theory is to meditate or pray while engaged in lovemaking. We become enraptured and intoxicated in the temple of our body and unite with GOD. Making love is paradise, and as long as we stay united with God, we are not lascivious, lewd, shameful, lecherous, immoral or sinners – we do Gods will.
Make love but make no difference. Silence is singular and thereby divine. Every mystic seeks it, for within that silence comes inspiration – the word of God – poetry – song – the creative spirit.
