Red Room Where the Writers Are

In Israel folklore there is a story about King Solomon that I have always held close to my heart. It goes something like this:

One day King Solomon was feeling down, so he summoned his greatest advisers to his throne. “Wise men,” he said, “I want you to find the cure for depression. When you find it, bring it to me.” So, the wise men went out and tried their best to find a cure the king’s depression.

After much research, they came back to the wise king and proclaimed that they had found the answer! “King,” they said, “get yourself a ring and engrave upon it, ‘This Too Shall Pass.’”
