Fall is here again

September 10, 2008, 1:01 pm

It's my favourite season of the year. I glance outside and yes, although it's still early September, the leaves are starting to turn - the shrubbery alongside the road I take to town from my house is already tinted scarlet and gold, and there are hints on the maples that they are thinking about following soon.

I'm busy on a new book, about 80% done but still a lot of work left to do - I had thought that fall this year would be a season when I could shuck off all else and just write write write until I am done. It is not to be - September alone takes me to two separate conferences in Portland, OR, and there's a bunch of smaller events in between those two dates in Seattle (check my website, www.AlmaAlexander.com, for details if you think you're going to be in the area). Then I have a convention where I'm a guest on the programming in the first week of October. Then, in November, I have a mini book tour scheduled for San Francisco and various points between there and (again) Portland, OR, where I am due on the 21st for another convention.

Lots of travelling.

Still I hope to be done with the new book by Christmas. I look forward to sharing more news about it closer to that time!
