Sorry to hear you're unwell, Anne. All sympathy. Have you tried a tens machine? They can be helpful. Not necessarily expensive if you can't borrow or hire one.

Many thanks, all, for good wishes - much appreciated. Am typing a little now, but slowly. The pain is better (combo of drugs, physio and the way I'm bandaged up!) but arm still very stiff. Hope to blog more at w/e.
