Fort Hoot Shootings
At Fort Hood, a soldier gunned down 12 and injured 31 people. His name is Nidal Malik Hassan. He opened fire at a military processing center and In my opinion the 39 year old psychiatrist felt like it was wrong for him to declare war against the Muslim world, while he being a Muslim himself. Malik Hassan has always opposed the war in Iraq. He was a psychiatrist at the Darnall Army Medical Center at Forthood, in Texas. He was born in Virginia and he’s a U.S. citizen of Jordanian decent.
The man looked normal and calm and lots of people were shocked and I understand why emotion can really run high. Malik Hassan made a choice to kill innocent people who were going on with their business and he needs to deal with the consequences of his actions.
What frustrates me about this man is Malik Hassan’s cowardly actions is that he could of used his freedom of speech to express his frustrations, instead of taking other people’s live and he was not doing it alone. There were a couple of other man involved in this cynical tragedy. I am not trying to be judgmental here, but he does not have the right to take innocent lives because he disagrees about the war in Iraq. There are ways to deal with disagreements than talking other people’s lives. My condolences and my sympathy go to the families of the victims and my heart also goes to them. My hope is that the families of the victims get the support, the encouragements and the comfort so that they can have the strength to go through this tragedy.
The Iraq war was wrong, but if we look at the positive sides, the Iraqis have gain the freedom they could have never had when Saddam was in power. The Iraqi Kurds have gotten the justice they sought for over a decade when they were victims of a genocide in the 1980s. You wouldn’t expect to hear this from a French-born young man who’s also an author, getting involved in problems that we deal with in our societies.
I am not trying to advocate the stereotypes that might happen from this tragedy, but I can’t deny the facts those consequences are a reality. I would like to say that not all Muslims support this evil and cowardly action.

Thanks Michael
Thanks a lot Michael. The guy was born in United States and if he does not like living there, he can make a decision to give up his citizenship and go to another country. My sympathy goes to the victims and their families. I hope they get the justice they deserve so that they can heal. There are different ways to deal with disagreements than doing such a terror attack. I hope for the best for all our troops.

Nidal Malik Hassan Died a Muslim Hero
Nidal Malik Hassan decided it was better to die as a Muslim hero than die like a dog for America. The Muslims will honor his memory, while the American soldiers are dying for naught.
There are more than 8000 American fatalities and 30,000 casualties of war a bankrupt economy and the 9/11 engineers are free men.
America has more enemies than ever before who are willing to commit JIHAD.
Osama bin Laden won his war against America because he wanted to destroy America's economic power and that is exactly what he did.

Hi Sharon, What I don't
Hi Sharon,
What I don't understand is what about the importance of justice for the victims of 9/11 and those at Fort Hood? Those who proclaim themselves as enemies of America need to have a look at themselves too. Because they discriminate against other minorities, women and sexual minorities. They don't want peace in their countries, but war! and they are the ones who are making life difficult for Muslims in the West.
Best,
Balthazar
