Earlier today, we learned that 4-time melanoma survivor John McCain had a growth removed from his temple.  His campaign hasn't issued a statement, but an aide says the removal was "purely a precaution."

Now, to ask a very uncomfortable question.

Would a reappearance of McCain's cancer open the door for the GOP to remove this candidate, who seems to have a Bob Dole-like chance of winning?
