Red Room Where the Writers Are

Premium Gift … I found the Red Room Writers Society October 8th 2008. This month is my One Year anniversary. (Or is it First Year anniversary?) Becoming a member here has opened up a whole new world of opportunity for me. I was in the process of writing my book with no writing experience whatsoever, other than I had in High School. I was in “total bliss” when I began reading and writing with other members and authors here. I felt this is where I want to be! And I felt that in order to remain here, I would have to find the “courage” to continue to participate in writing along with you. There have been many times my smaller self would suggest that I don’t “fit in” here, but YOU never let me believe that, so I stayed. I would stay up some nights and give thanks that the Red Room Community didn’t give me pink slips for editing over and over the same essay’s time and time again. I would imagine them laughing amongst themselves that Catherine Nagle’s at it again! But still, YOU gave me the confidence that I needed to stay. I’d write about the lack of writing experience in a lot of my post, and YOU felt the love and passion that I have for the world of Literary more. I have found one of the most wonderful editor’s through the Red Room that polished my book like a sparkling diamond. -That if I never get published, I still have a beautiful manuscript to be proud of and cherish forever. I found the best templates for my query letter that strengthened mine so well that I had several agents asking for more! I have found like-minded friends from around the world to share the sorrows and the joys of our humanness in life, without any judgments. Why, what College or University can one go to that offers everything one needs for writing as the Red Room? What better platform can we present ourselves from and send our viewers or fans to that could possibly be better than the Red Room? When I received the letter from the Red Room that any support would be greatly appreciated; I thought of “how” I can help to keep this wonderful community to "continue" to grow even more! I am a stay at home mother and depend on my husbands’ income for all our needs. My birthday is coming up next month and Christmas is right around the corner. I told my husband and all my children that I know the greatest gifts that would bring more joy into my life than anything else in the world and that is to be a Red Room Hall of Fame member. And that each year it’ll be even easier for them to give me such a “Premium Gift” of where I "want" to belong, as what the Red Room has already given to me.
