Meaning of Courage…Winning Essays

I was overwhelmed with emotion while reading the stories from the winning essays from Boston public school sixth grade students.  After reading the first story from Darianna Santana, my heart, mind and soul completely froze.  I couldn’t even go on to the next story for several minutes there after.  You’ll understand why I came to this break as though the moment in time froze.  Perhaps, it was because I could relate to the story so well?  Or because the essay was written that I felt as though I was there, that every word in my heart bleeds.  Oh that I may touch the hearts of others with faith and courage to go on as well!

I left a comment.  I gave my gratitude for their wonderful stories that truly inspired me and that I will always remember.  And their excellent writing skills.
