I'll be speaking informally about how  I came to write Love Cemetery, a non-fiction book, set in East Texas, on race and reconciliation. I'm known for writing about women's spirituality, pilgrimages and women activists around the world.  So it's natural to be asked what race has to do with it.   I'll tell how my travels took me from the American wilderness, to India, Nepal, Brazil, Argentina, Poland, the former Yugoslavia, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and France and finally, in 2000, to my own proverbial "backyard",  rural East Texas.
