SOMEBODY SAVE ME
Rescue can come in many different forms. It doesn't necessarily have to be physical. Have you ever been the sounding board for someone? The go to person that actually listens when no one else does? I play that role often and for various people. I do it because I sometimes find myself wanting or needing to talk with someone if for nothing else than to hash out a situation and that is troubling me and get a different perspective on it. So I do that for others because I know what its like to NOT have that sounding board. It can get pretty awful when you bottle up feelings and let them fester.
But there's something else I learned over the years. You have to be able to take care of yourself. At the end of the day you are with you. You're going to spend alot of time with yourself so you better learn to like YOU...LOVE YOU even.
If you're in need of real rescue then reach out, find that help, get back on track, and then when you've healed up and you feel better "pay it forward" as it were. I guess that's what I do these days...I pay it forward.
