Daniel Handler and Jane Smiley Talk It Over

December 6, 2007, 4:52 pm

See Jane Smiley in conversation with Daniel Handler. Smiley (Ten Days in the Hills), a Pulitzer Prize winner, is known for her literary treatment of horses, homesteads, and Hollywood. Handler (A Series of Unfortunate Events) has tapped into agitated adolescent imaginations and demented teenage minds. They’ve both seen their work adapted for the big screen. She’s written about contemplating the novel; he plays the accordion. See Part One of what these two had to say to one another at Litquake 2007. View the remaining videos at Author Conversations.

Litquake 2007 interview with Daniel Handler

The interview explained a lot of what I have not expected of what the book will be like. I just ordered all of Daniel Handler's published books including   "How To Dress For Every Occasion by The Pope" with Sarah Bennett doing illustrations and i got them in the mail. I really enjoyed them. I wanted to email Mr. Handler on seeing if he can make a book based on politics since it's now a huge debate. I enjoyed his books.
