On the Radio
I've done two radio interviews this week. The first one was taped and will air in CA next week. The second one went out live and is to be archived. That one originates in Canada and is heard all over North America. Why am I talking about it? Well, I could tell you it's because I look so thin, gorgeous and young on the radio. LOL No, that's not the reason. Here's what I found interesting about that second interview. The show's host, Deborah Wolfe, had heard of The Red Room, knew I was a member, and before we started talking about my books and dog behavior she wanted to know more about this website. She wanted to know how I got to be on the same site as Salman Rushdie and other famous authors.
Word is spreading. I was happy to tell her listeners about The Red Room, how I was fortunate to be an author accepted here and about all of the authors who are here; that her listeners could surf to www.redroom.com, click on Authors and start searching, reading blogs, etc. I said that each author and member (I told them to check Members, too) adds a different amount of information to their pages, making it a very personal experience.
The fact is, that The Red Room is no longer the most wonderful secret on the internet. That's a good thing for everyone. For us, as authors and journalists, we have a potential plethora of new readers. For Ivory and the staff, there will, hopefully, be compensation for providing us with this amazing site at no charge, for letting us meet each other, communicate, share. It just doesn't get any better than this.

Red Room on the Radio
Thanks, Max. What pleased me is that the interviewer had already heard about The Red Room and was intrigued. The best kept secret won't be much of a secret for very long! LOL I'm sure lots of people are going to discover The Red Room and that's good for everyone. :-)
