 I write mostly under two conditions. I write when I must or when I feel inspired, and really,sometimes I'm not too sure which is the prevailing condition.Be that as it may,let's focus on this ''carpe diem'' stuff,then.It is Latin and literally means''seize the day''.In its idiomatic use it reads more like''enjoy the present or seize today's opportunities''.

So then ,Mr President,the ball is in your court.Carpe diem,President Obama! This is your day now.You have campaigned the length and breadth of America and the people have handed you quite a handsome mandate.

Carpe diem!

CHOOSE WELL YOUR CABINET!

FIX WALL STREET!

REPAIR THE DAMAGE OVERSEAS!

MAKE SURE ISRAEL IS SAFE!

EXTEND YOUR HAND OF GOODWILL TO AMERICA AND THE WORLD!

PRAY WITHOUT CEASING FOR YOU WILL NEED GOD'S HELP MUCH MORE THAN ANY ''DEUS EX MACHINA''.
