June has given me an assignment -- something in lieu of writing about politics and doom (the things that are actually on my mind).  Here goes!

A word I use too much: Clearly

A word I should use more: Hope

A word I wish I used more: Intuitive

A word that hurts my ears when others say it: Leverage

A word that doesn't feel right in my mouth when I say it:  Obfuscate

A word that's used too much in novels: Hammered

A word that's used too much in newspapers and magazines: Proverbial

A word that's used too much in broadcast news: Apocalyptic

A word that evokes for me a visual image, taste, smell, tactile sensation, or sound other than the word itself: Watsu

A word I'd like people to use about me: Brilliant (hah.)

A word I think more people should be aware of: Logophobia

A word that makes me feel stupid: Exponential

A word that makes me feel smart: Dichotomy

A word I remember learning as a kid: Cornucopia

A word I say just for fun: Slather

Your turn!!!

June Casagrande

June Casagrande says:

'Slather' -- good one!

That is a fun word to say, isn't it?

Also, I agree that "obfuscate" is tongue torture. But "exponentially" doesn't make me feel dumb. It makes me feel smart. Tiny, but smart.

Thanks for playing!

 Looking up 'watsu,'

P.S. Weren't you bummed to learn that cornucopias don't necessarily contain corn?

P.S. Weren't you bummed to learn that cornucopias don't necessarily contain corn?

I can barely cope.
