Here are some thoughts on my third novel about women in the Bible, THE TRIUMPH OF DEBORAH.

Apart from featuring a compelling story, it is also a tribute to feminine strength, in biblical times and in ours. Based on the biblical text, the novel shows how Deborah, despite the difficult conditions for women that prevailed at the time, became a national leader, who led her nation to war when it was necessary and to peace when it became possible.

As such she may serve as a shining role model for women today. Women do not necessarily want to become leaders. But what all women can learn from Deborah is that they have more strength inside them than many people (and perhaps they themselves) give them credit for. That no matter what is right for them, their inner strength can lead them to achieve it.
