Well, I have been out on the road for about two weeks now, talking and talking and talking about Towers of Gold, the story of my great great grandfather, Isaias Hellman, and the contribution he made to the creation of California. i have spoken to crowds of 15 (in a bookstore in Healdsburg) to crowds of 110 (at Rancho Los Alamitos in Long Beach) I have enjoyed it all.

 Now I am delighted to find that Towers of Gold has debuted on the San Francisco Chronicle's best seller list at #3.

 I am thrilled, as you can imagine.

The Los Angeles Times called Towers of Gold "impressively researched and engagingly written."

The San Franciso Chronicle called it "carefully researched and superbly written."
