The book trailer for The Wonderful Demise of Benjamin Arnold Guppy is up for the award for most intriguing trailer at The New Covey Trailer Awards (it's entry number 3). I'd be much obliged if everyone in the world could vote for it, but I realise that I'll have to settle for only half that number, tee hee! In case you haven't seen it before, it can be viewed here. I'd offer to pay you, but all of my money went on buying sixty cases of Glen Grant for Dale Estey, so blame him.

Dale Estey

Dale Estey says:

Which apparently have been

Which apparently have been lost as sea. But I can cast my chagrin aside as I cast a vote for you.

Gina Collia-Suzuki

Gina Collia-Suzuki says:

You are a darling... and

You are a darling... and with that in mind I have hired yet another submarine to search the seabed for your amber nectar. Mark my words, Cap'n Sneakenslash and I will have that precious cargo found within the... well... year or six.

Ivory Madison says:

Thank you, Gina

Gina,

I have no idea what you and Dale are talking about, but I'm glad that you, like me, hire submarines for various mythical adventures that come up in your personal life.

Thank you for sending me a copy of your book. The cover is very elegant, and the synopsis you wrote on the back is so intriguing, you should print up t-shirts that say that and everyone will buy your book!

Congratulations on it, and someday, I will treasure reading it.

Ivory, glad to hear that the book arrived safely. I shall have to read it myself eventually, to see if it's any good!

And thanks to you for sending me a copy of The Huntress. What an achievement that is! By that, I mean the fact that you wrote it, not that you sent it to me.

And as for not knowing what Dale and I are talking about... in that we are all in the same boat  :o)

Dale Estey

Dale Estey says:

So, that boat is on the way,

So, that boat is on the way, is it?

Gina Collia-Suzuki

Gina Collia-Suzuki says:

Ar, Matey!

Stopping at every port that you have a wife in on the way. I'll bring them all with me. What a reunion that will be!

Dale Estey

Dale Estey says:

Good grief! Not the Isle of

Good grief! Not the Isle of Man, the Azores, and the Faeroes, too? Steer clear of Newfoundland, say I.

Gina Collia-Suzuki

Gina Collia-Suzuki says:

Heavens to bananas!

I'm glad you reminded me of the Isle of Man... I'd forgotten about Hyacinth and Gwladys. How you found the time for both of them in one four-day trip is beyond me. I'll be sure to tell Petunia that she can't bring the sextuplets, as the high seas are no place for nippers. I do hope that Juanita-Maud has done something about her rash by the time we reach Madagascar... and her drinking and cavorting.

Dale Estey

Dale Estey says:

She's no good to me without

She's no good to me without her drinking and her cavorting.

And there I was thinking you liked your femmes to be sophisticated and cerebral. If only I'd known earlier... I chucked about fifty loose and flighty ones over the side about a mile back for being drunk and naked on deck.
