Still Waiting

The Age of Reason

Today's featured articleon Wikipediais about this treatise, published in three parts in 1794, 1795, and 1806. This is the title page, and it is wonderful to me for so many reasons. I'll just say here that I love the idea of a theology that is reasonable, fabulous, and true. I'm still waiting for that kind of enlightenment, and sometimes I'm envious of people I know who have found it. The world in front of all of us is a beautiful thing, though, and that's good enough for me most of the time.

"And that's the way it is, Friday, July 17th, 2009..." A line delivered by someonewho made the news at least seem to be reasonable, fabulous, and true.

So glad to know where to find this online.

I live in my own little world as much as possible because there the title of this treatise resonates.

"The Age of Reason; Being An Investigation of True and Wonderful Theology"

Beautiful words to an analytical, spiritual personality type!

"When I was young" . . . I thought the world was experiencing an age of reason and one day, when I grew up I would be a part of the whole exciting phenomena! I'm not worried though, I just haven't finished growing up!
