Red Room Where the Writers Are

First off I want to thank many of you who have corrected me on some mistakes I made about Paul Rauch's varied career. I made corrections when need be on the blog in question. There was a lot of debate, however: He's great at what he does! No he's a jerk! No he's what soaps need right now!  It made me want to go somewhere and drink.

And then news came today from The Suds Report by Nelson Branco that Rauch's contract is expired and wasn't renewed.

To be honest, I'm not dancing in the streets about this-even though I don't like Paul Rauch, it doesn't change the fact that soaps are still not so great. However, corny as it sounds, you never know tomorrow, for tomorrow can change everything.... (Whoa! That sounds like a soap!)

Also, Phil Gramm stepped down today. Now I can picture Paul and Phil having a beer somewhere, Phil saying "But I meant the American people were victims!" Paul is nodding, saying "I totally understand, man. Hey, did I ever tell you about the time on Guiding Light when they were going to clone Reva? I thought sure, try it..."
