Commonwealth Club Panel on Red Room this Monday, April 21st

April 19, 2008, 12:10 pm

While there are many perks to working with over 800 accomplished and diverse authors, I will have the special honor of hearing five of them speak this coming Monday at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco.

The panel is titled "Red Room: Building A Community For Writers," and the discussion will focus on the need for community among writers and readers and the future of publishing in the era of digital media. Journalist and author David Ewing Duncan will moderate the panel, comprised of Red Room founder and CEO Ivory Madison and Red Room authors Ishmael Reed, Belle Yang, Bill Hayes, and Peter Coyote.

Here's all the information you'll need to join us:

Date: Monday, April 21st. A wine and cheese reception at 5:30 p.m. will precede the program at 6 p.m. A book signing will begin at 7 p.m. after the panel concludes.

Location: The second floor Blue Room at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco, located at 595 Market Street. (See map.)

Fee: Entry is free for current Commonwealth Club members, and if you're not a member, you can purchase your ticket online for $18.

Thanks, everyone!
