So thrilled to have  The Mandrake Broom selected as a finalist in Women's Fiction for the Lambda Literary Awards!  And honored to be up against my friends and esteemed artists, Sarah Schulman and Lucy Jane Bledsoe.  Also, hats off to Carroll and Graf for their three nominations.

There's a gala party in West Hollywood, CA on May 29th, 2008 and I love to go to the Lammys. So gala, so gay, so happy.  Last time I went they served little teenie martinis and I felt like I'd stepped into my real life where I was known as a writer, not a day-job worker or a mom.

I'm particularly happy because while I've been a finalist three  times previously, I've never been a finalist for my fiction.  Hats off to the Foundation for their work and many thanks!
