I don't think it's just because I'm British, JDO, that I feel seldom does sharing a trouble halve it. More likely to double it - for you and your confidant(e) - and extend its power over you.
Prayer, on the other hand, does defuse the situation...and enable clearer insight.
So does release of creative energy.
