The DAY
July 18th.
The DAY.
Today is the official release date of my debut novel ... and while no physical copies will be available until another week or so, and my launch party will be held on August 1st, I'm celebrating.
The DAY.
I was in NYC for Thrillerfest last weekend ... and had such a grand and glorious time -- and felt such support and friendship from the writing community -- that celebrating again almost seems anticlimactic. But not really. Because whenever a book is published, we should celebrate.
It's a testimony to the act of imagination, to faith, to belief, to perseverance. It's an embrace of hope, of dreams, and of love. And it's an embodiment of the support and nurturing that brought the work to life.
I'm at the wonderful and popular BookBitch Blog today, talking about why we don't write alone. I hope you can stop by there, and at thriller writer Laura Benedict's Notes from the Handbasket, where she asks me why we should study the Classics.
Thank you, Red Room community, for being such an important part of this amazing process. And to truly celebrate the release of Nox Dormienda ... I'm off to write. :)
