For the last few days, I - and several other authors who have work on Smashwords and Kindle - have been downloading mobi files (from Smashwords) to send free books and stories to deployed soldiers.
When Ian was deployed, he couldn't have enough reading material for his down time.
Started by author Edward Patterson, this project took off quickly. Now Smashwords is directly involved.
