Hi to everyone
I've joined Red Room in the hope of hooking up with other authors, particularly those writing contemporary women's fiction. If there's anyone out there writing for the 40+ market, I'd be doubly glad to connect with you.
So far I'm 3/4 of my way through The Accidental Guru which tells the story of four friends, Aurora, Judi, Paula and Mel, and the six months that change their lives. The pretentious tagline is - can you turn your past into your future and, if you do, will it be everything you hoped for or the one thing you always dreaded?
In my opinion, it's funny, sexy, sad and uplifting, all at the same time. But my reason for joining Red Room is to find out if anyone else agrees with me. I'd love feedback, particularly negative feedback because that's the good stuff that helps us improve.
I'm happy to swap critiques with anyone out there who's writing in my genre or anyone who reads women's fiction regularly. If you can recommend any good authors, I'll be very grateful

Welcome Laura!
I recommend you take a look in our clubs section and there's a couple of clubs that exchange reviews. In the meantime read some blogs, watch some videos, and have fun!
